Oxford School of Rock

Oxford School of Rock runs every Saturday morning at Rotator Studios, Magdalen Road, Oxford for children aged 8-13. Participants get to play in bands together, listen to all kinds of music, write songs, learn some music theory and the sessions are overseen by some of Oxford's most experienced rock musicians. Each session lasts 2 and 3/4 hours.

Sessions also feature occasional guest performers from the local music scene who might play a few songs or give a short talk about what they do.

We have three studios each equipped with drum kit, bass and guitar amplifiers and vocal PA. We keep the volume low so we can still talk to each other! There is a maximum of 15 spaces each session and we have 3 tutors so your child will only ever be working in a small group.

Our current tutors are:

John Daniel - guitar
Gordon Marshall - bass guitar
Emma Sainsbury - drums

All tutors are experienced musicians and experienced in working with children.

Sessions run from 9:15am to 12 noon. The cost is £17 per session.
